Digital Portfolio 2: What Should We Do?

From reading all of the documents and looking at what the organizations are trying to do we as a class and we as the world need to take action and also get the word out of whats really going on in the extreme povertish regions. We as a class could go to local polititions and make them spread the word to government to keep their promise of giving money and getting rid of Africa's debt. Sure the government said they would, but all they have done is campaigned it more than actually taking action! Money could greatly help Africa because it could buy then new seeds which could bring in more food and income, and would build wealth. This means that everyone could be able to eat and children especially girls could stay in school instead of having to go out and fetch water and wood for food. I think as a class to raise money we could have a bake sale or set up a table at events with posters and information on what we all could do as individuals and ask people to donate. We could also have a fundraiser where our class could donate the bed nets and seeds, which could greatly help Africa from decease. To save a child's life all as we need to do is give 1 hand full of sugar, 1 water bottle, and 1 pinch of salt. My person favorite event we as a class could plan would be to have a concert. We could get local bands to play and have tables of information on things we could all do. We could sell the tickets for money and donate the money to Africa and we would be spreading the word to everyone else which would cause others to want to help. I think that we should do this because we are the future and not just a president, a leader, or some other person of high power can change the poverty, but we individuals can change poverty if we all contribute something, even if its a 10 dollar net, which would affect and save a life and not even affect ours at all.
